We wish to recruit a number of Yard Operatives for our Makerfield Branch. 

This role is for someone looking to learn and develop new skills that will equip them for a career within one of the UK and Ireland’s leading Independent merchants. 

Do you: 

Love working with people? 

 Have an interest in building materials, hardware and timber?

Key duties will include: 

• Picking orders to meet customer requirements
• Assisting and serving calling customers 
• Off-loading and loading customer and company vehicles 
• Ensuring a high standard of housekeeping 

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering a high level of customer service and be able to work as part of a busy team. 

Working knowledge of building materials and timber products would be essential for this position, preferably from within a merchant environment. 

The ability to demonstrate competence in using a fork lift (including front and side loader) is necessary.
