An opportunity has arisen for a Yard Operative to join the team within our Makerfield Branch with the successful candidate having the opportunity to learn and develop new skills that will equip them for a successful career.

Key duties will include:

• Picking orders to meet customer requirements
• Assisting and serving calling customers
• Off-loading and loading customer and company vehicles
• Ensuring a high standard of housekeeping

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering a high level of customer service and be able to work as part of a busy team. Working knowledge of building materials and timber products would be essential for this position, preferably from within a merchant environment. The ability to demonstrate competence in using a fork lift (including front and side loader) is necessary.
